Use: As an opacifier or flux in glazes, it can improve the gloss and uniformity of ceramic surfaces. Its high-temperature stability helps to form a dense structure during sintering, improving the heat resistance and mechanical strength of the product. It works synergistically with other metallic oxides to adjust the color of glazes or enhance color stability. As an additive in plastics, coatings or textiles, it releases phosphoric acid substances through high-temperature decomposition, promotes the formation of a carbonized layer, isolates oxygen and heat, and slows down the combustion process. As a tin source, it is used for metal surface treatment, especially in cyanide-free electroplating processes, to provide corrosion-resistant and decorative coatings. In some organic reactions (such as esterification and polymerization), it may be used as a catalyst or carrier to promote the reaction by using its surface acidity or structural characteristics. It is used in the preparation of other tin compounds, such as tin oxides or organotin derivatives, for applications in areas such as electronic materials or preservatives.
